Chef Bridget's is inspired by deliciousness, farmers, and YOU! A career filled with seeking the greatest quality ingredients for her clients has lead her to the next chapter with Steward & Maven Co. Chef considers her life's purpose and work to be not only a "job" but a lifestyle. Since childhood she has been dedicated to land stewardship, recycling, circle of life, entertaining and learning the art of the craft in culinary. The great span of cooking around the world has brought her into private homes, international corporations, cooking for the less privileged-the true impacts of food in every socioeconomic household, traveling to farms living on them to learn how our food is grown, and cooking on the greatest appliances in the world all contribute to the best in class recipes Steward & Maven Co. products produce.
Over the span of 25 years, Chef is passionate about educating individuals, how to gain the desired skills needed for improved health, sighting personal lifestyle goals, attaining cooking/ kitchen efficiencies and becoming the best purchasing agents for health, value, quality, and taste. As well focuses on identifying products that provide overall land and human benefits. Our company's core belief is, gaining these skills, brings freedom of choice, wealth in health, buying confidence that lives long beyond the social media marketing pressures and the trap of the grocery store mindset.
Organic, regenerative, sustainable food is a hot topic right now, but it’s something Bridget has focused on throughout her 30 year cooking career. And in that time, she has developed a reputation for being and ingredient maven, anticipating future food trends, and a strong culinary force in the industry.
Bridget’s journey continually leads her to explore regenerative food systems, where our food comes from, how it’s grown, procured, crafted, and how it’s repurposed. In this spirit, she is launching Steward & Maven Co., a new whole grain product offering, from organic, biodynamic, non-gmo, and regeneratively farmed ingredients from stewards in the field-to-your -kitchen.
Why?
Commercial Farming has evolved into commodity driven, mono- crop, genetically modified, chemical laden, uniformity driven, surplus. Steward & Maven Co. farmers believe we should grow for land restoration, nutrient density, variety and flavor. America's government has subsidized farmers to maximize acreage output with GMO practices that strips our land, depletes nutrient density and denotes flavor from our food system. Our mission is to educate EATERS about, who our Farmers are, what their practices do to create beyond organic standards. We reward transitional growing which produces foods with 10 to 50 times the nutrient density and flavors that haven't been tasted for generations..... it's a win-win-win. The Farmers win because they get paid appropriately for higher quality foods, the Eaters win because their food is healthier plus more delicious, and the earth wins with farming practices that replenish the soils.
